Stick commands
There are four different "modes" used in today's transmitters.
Some transmitters have the ability to switch modes, some are hardwired into one mode and cannot be changed without breaking open the transmitter and moving wires (not recommended). In general, most transmitters come in either mode 1 or mode 2 - these two modes simply swap the throttle and pitch/elevator channels. Here you can get an overview of all available radio commands. The following depicts the stick positions and their corresponding functions depending on the Transmitter Mode you are using:
Note:
Gyro and acc calibration: All motors will pulse three times at a low rate to confirm the calibration!
Armed motors: Motors are spinning at a low rate! Disarmed motors: Motors off!

Channel assignments
This part will describe what functions each of the extra channels represent.
5th channel ("Flight Mode" channel)
Spektrum DX6i provide two Mixes function let you can select the different flight mode. The set this two Mixes function as shown in Figure below.
Step 1: With the transmitter already powered on and the main screen displayed, press and release the ROLLER to enter the ADJUST LIST.
Step 2: Rotate the ROLLER to the right until MIX 1 is highlighted on screen.
Step 3: Press the roller to access the MIX 1 function.
Step 4: Selecting Master and Slave channels, rotate the roller to highlight the master (left) channel in the screen.
Step 5: Press the roller to access the master channel selection, we need to do the channel assignment, so select GEAR as the master channel.
Step 6: Selecting the mixing values, rotate the roller to highlight the desired rate and direction.
Step 7: Press the roller to access the rate value. Using the roller, rotate to adjust the desired mixing values. The values for MIX1, D = -50%, U = -50%, for MIX 2, D = -75%, U = -75%.
Step 8: Set the mix switch. For MIX 1, SW = FLAP, MIX 2, SW = ELEV D/R
